Nature: the ultimate relationship system
During this session, you will reconnect with the power of nature as an ally,
co-coach and guide to our personal and professional lives. The climate crisis impacts us in so many ways, causing stress, guilt, overwhelm and grief. We know we need consensus reality solutions, but we seem to be paralyzed to act. Yet the opportunity for change often begins in essence and dreaming, before we can act. We tend to take care of the things that are essential to our well-being, and this session looks at how to find our way back to a joyful relationship with nature. This interactive presentation will use discussion, visualization and storytelling as we reconnect and share our own memories of time in nature, and forest. The Japanese philosophy of forest bathing has much to offer in terms of communication, collaboration, resilience, vulnerability, co-creation and trust. We will also explore our personal and societal obstacles to drawing more deeply on nature as our ally, guide and coach. |

Unboxing Singapore Through the Lens of ORSC
With Singapore as a Case Study, Elfarina, Farhann and Eslinda unbox how robust Relationship Systems Intelligence RSI TM plays a critical role in her evolution; with the intention of facilitating participants’ observations and reflections into their own systems.
“It’s not about you. It’s not about me. It’s about us.” Being a city-state with limited natural resources, Singapore has had to hone in on its human capital and its relationships - both with other countries as well as its own people.
Singapore’s passport reclaiming the top spot on the 2019 Henley Passport Index is a reflection of her consistent efforts to sustain being in Right Relationship. Singapore’s relationships matter from the boardroom to the living room. Conversations about the vision of Singapore is shifting from the exclusive domain of the state boardroom to unfolding in citizens’ very own living rooms. The increasing awareness of RSI in Singapore is captured by a growing acknowledgement of the different voices in our system. Robust RSI resonates with us, and it is still work in progress, as observed by the increasing appetite for ORSC in our land.

Sensemaking: Collective Change through Micro-shifts.
In this session, we will showcase a useful framework for effective work with Relationship Systems, including the possibilities for scaling and whole systems change. The aim is to clarify ongoing confusion in how to deal with complex-adaptive systems as opposed to ordered ones, and what methods to use to navigate them efficiently when turning towards 3-D development.
We will work with Dave Snowden’s CYNEFIN framework and highlight the interface with Relationship Systems Intelligence™ and the many possibilities this affords in the direction of whole systems change. After a short introduction to the framework, where we disambiguate the differences between ‘ordered’ system domains and ‘complex’ areas, we will go into real-time sensemaking for navigating in the VUCA domain. We will show applications of the Sensemaker® tool that captures real-time, contextualized micronarratives in such a way (design principles) that it provides close to unbiased data to what is actually happening in a department, an organisation or a community. This is the real starting point for systems change: through an approach that looks at what is really happening, asking a simple question: “what can we do tomorrow to have less stories like these and more like those?”. Then, a change of “culture” or of a “mindset” can actually be defined in a helpful way; as the total sum of all such micro-shifts of everyday interactions and relationships. In this way, we believe ORSC™ is in a prime position to benefit from such useful distinctions, to bring greater clarity and responsiveness into the complexity of relationship systems in a VUCA world. Participants will get to see many different examples of how this approach is used in organization, NGOs and communities. |

Johann Entz-von Zerssen, CPCC, ORSCC, PCC
Over the past 20 years, Johann has come to understand how difficult and yet possible
change is for individuals and teams/organisations, once awareness and a willingness to
address these challenges has surfaced. In his work, he makes use of the newest as well as
tested approaches based on developmental, systems and complex adaptive systems theory
and practice. He aims to find a healthy balance for his clients between doing and being in
the way they make decisions, overcoming learned resistances, integrating; immunities to
change; and thus becoming more authentic in the way they show up in the world and grow
in their leadership.
Johann is on the faculty of the Coaches Training Institute CTI and a former partner of CRR in
Europe.
Anne and Johann have founded www.ezc.partners.com in Potsdam, Germany. They are part
of various networks. They are accredited in a variety of methods, including The Leadership
Circle and Lectica (LDMA). They also work as partners with the Sensemaker© Suite from
Cognitive Edge in the complex domain.

Deep dialogues with Marita and Faith
In this session, Nairy and Suncica will be using ORSC skills and tools to create greater systemic-awareness, and unleash creativity and energy in the system through paying exquisite attention to individual voices, and in particular, the edges and margins of their systemic experience.
Through an interview with CRR Global co-Founders Marita Fridjhon and Faith Fuller, participants will experience and learn how working with these edges and margins of ME (as a systemic worker), and US (as the relationship between the systemic worker and the client), can facilitate the powerful unfolding and unboxing of IT (as the bigger system). Participants will have a chance to share their experience in the moment which will shape the interview as it happens. |

ORSC in the social sector
Supporting their world work, the goal of this session is to have a more in-depth
conversation about the potential of ORSC in the Social Sector. The Social Sector is tangling out loud and intentionally with issues of power, privilege, equity and fixing institutional issues to create a more equitable society. In her work as a nonprofit and government program evaluator, Betsy found the need for systems coaching a crucial means for opening up strategic and meaningful dialogue. Betsy aims to open up a dialogue among coaches around how to address making a case for allocating resources to systems coaches. |

Philippe Guenet, ORSCC
After a very successful fundraising career for over twenty years, Gary became a certified executive and life coach and built a mission-driven coaching practice by working with
executives, boards of directors, and teams who work for non-profit organizations. He earned his CPCC credential from the Coaches Training Institute in 2006, and he also trained
in Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching. He then earned his PCC certification from the International Coach Federation in 2016. He is also a certified practitioner of the Leadership Circle Profile individual and culture assessment tools. Over time, Gary began seeing a trend in his client base of mid-life/near-retirement executives, staff, and volunteer leaders beginning to address what was next for themselves, and who were looking for ways to leave their organizations and create new later-in-life opportunities for themselves. He chose to attend U Mass Boston’s gerontology program and earn an MS in Management of Aging Services as a way to understand his coaching clients, the experiences they are having in life, and ways to bring added value to them.

Helping systems orient in an uncertain ambiguous world
In today’s VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world, traditional leaders find themselves at odds, trying to drive certainty in a context that isn’t. It is not looking like anything will likely stabilize soon either. In a new context, new approaches are needed. ORSC offers many ways of stimulating the intelligence of the system and driving alignment. Cynefin helps to make sense of a situation, rationalizing the approach to decisions and stimulating emergence even more. Both together are an excellent match for any System worker.
In this session, we will offer a taste of the Cynefin sense-making framework through a group exercise (5 points) and an interactive walk-through. We will talk from experience on connecting ORSC and Cynefin in practice, but instead of giving a tutorial on it, we will organize the debrief to discuss what emerges for the participants. Cynefin is a sense-making framework developed by Dave Snowden from Cognitive Edge and based on human complexity. |

Liz Wren
Liz is an experienced ORSC practitioner and has been active in the UK community for some time. Being of Welsh heritage, Liz, of course, knew that Cynefin (pronounced kuh-NEV-in)
means “habitat” or “place of multiple belongings” in Welsh. She errs towards structure and order in her life, and so leapt at the chance to explore the ‘unknown-unknowns’ with Philippe on this collaboration. She brings a beginner’s mind and her ORSC hat to discover what else is possible from this collaboration.
